Another Christmas Past

… and many more yet to come. Was it me, or was there a general feeling of burnout this year? It seems as though the “Christmas Season” starts earlier every year. This year we weren’t even finished digesting our Thanksgiving turkey before retailers were hawking their “black friday” sales.

I dunno about anyone else, but I’m kind of tired of it. Maybe it was the pre-season rush on Playstation 3’s and Nintendo Wii’s. Maybe it was the endless line of scammers and money-grubbing twits selling same on eBay. Or maybe it’s just that Christmas has become so overcommerciallized that by now we’ve forgotten WHY we celebrate.

What would Jesus buy?

Dunno ’bout that either. But I’m pretty sure he’d have avoided the PS3.
