Oops! He did it again!

In yet another act of shamelessness and desperation, John McCain has released an attack ad comparing rival Barack Hussein Obama to other “international celebrities” (their words, not mine) Paris Hilton and Britney Spears.

Really?  Honestly, even for a politician whose campaign is as thoroghly in the crapper as McCain’s, this is pathetic.  If that’s the best he can do, he deserves to lose.

And on a related note, the New York Times reports that McCain has adopted the strategies Karl Rove used to get Bush elected twice – fear, lies, distortions and hate.

Does he really think this kind of divisive, abusive, negative campaigning (which botoxed beer bitch Cindy McCain once assured us we “wouldn’t see” from the McCain campaign) will work?  Or is he trying to say “vote for me because no one likes me”? He seems to have forgotten what it’s like to be on the receiving end of these kinds of attacks.  It’s what lost him the race in 2000.

If he doesn’t want to be compared (appropriately, it seems) to his role model George W. Bush, he’d better kick the Rove-ites off his staff ASAP.

He gone from confused to angry to… just bizarre.

He’ll be back in form once he gets back to his afternoon nap schedule and his daily dose of prunes, I reckon.

I guess living in the 1950’s is what defines him as a “maverick” these days.
